Dharamshala witnessed a rare moment of unity as leaders from both the Congress and BJP put aside their political differences to enjoy the highly-anticipated India-New Zealand cricket match. Among those present were Union Minister Anurag Thakur, BJP National President JP Nadda, former minister Harsh Vardhan, Congress leader and Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, and Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Jai Ram Thakur.

These eminent leaders found themselves seated together in the VVIP stand, with Sukhwinder Sukhu occupying the seat between Anurag Thakur and JP Nadda. The presence of BCCI Secretary Jai Shah and IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal added to the significance of the gathering.

Reflecting on the match, Sukhwinder Sukhu shared his admiration for the immense passion that people have for cricket, as evidenced by the World Cup matches. He also commended the serene and picturesque surroundings of the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.

The thrilling match saw India emerge victorious as they defeated New Zealand by four wickets, clinching their fifth World Cup win. The star of the match was Mohammed Shami, who astounded everyone with his exceptional five-wicket performance for India.

Dharamshala: Congress-BJP leaders forget the political row and enjoy the India-New Zealand cricket match together. Union Minister Anurag Thakur, BJP National President JP Nadda, former minister Harsh Vardhan, Congress leader and Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Jai Ram Thakur watched the match live.

The leaders enjoyed the match at the VVIP stand in Dharamshala. Sukhwinder Sukhu seat was between Anurag Thakur and JP Nadda. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah and IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal were also present.

After the match, Sukhu said that World Cup matches are proof of how passionately people enjoy cricket. He also praised the beautiful surroundings of the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.

In the match, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets to register their fifth World Cup win. Mohammed Shami, who took five wickets for India, was the star of the match.
