Contracts signed on the implementation of 12 road infrastructure projects in six cities and municipalities

Last week, at the seat of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, contracts were signed on the implementation of 12 road infrastructure projects in six cities and municipalities of this Canton, which the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Transport and Communications and Environmental Protection finances with funds in the total amount of 2.1 million KM. the Press Service announced.
Important projects
The Municipality of Maglaj will implement three projects: Reconstruction and asphalting of the Bosanska Street – Prvi Mart road (250,000 KM), Rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Srebrenički žrtava rata Street (900,000 KM) and Reconstruction and asphalting of the local road Domislica-Čobe (150,000 KM), while the neighboring Municipality Zepče plans to implement two projects: Reconstruction and asphalting of the local road Begov Han – Fatići (40,000 KM) and Installation of video surveillance on city streets (40,000 KM).
Three projects are planned in the area of ​​the city of Zavidovići, namely the rehabilitation of local roads in the Mečevići municipality (20,000 KM), the Kovači municipality (20,000 KM) and the Rujnica municipality (50,000 KM), while in the area of ​​the town of Visoko, projects are planned for the repair and rehabilitation of local roads in Ravne settlement (KM 80,000) and renovation of the existing parking lot in Ravne (KM 160,000). The city of Zenica will implement the project of renovation of the access road to Kužno groblje Zenica (190,000 KM), and the municipality of Vareš will implement the project of reconstruction of public lighting on the main road and side streets (200,000 KM).
Balanced development
The relevant minister, Danijel Pašić, said that the intention of this government is to enter all cities and municipalities, following the policy of fair distribution of funds and equal development.
“As early as next week, the funds can be transferred to the municipalities and cities, and they can already start the process of announcing tenders and implementing projects today,” Pašić said.
Maglaju 1.3 million KM
The municipality of Maglaj received funds in the amount of 1.3 million KM for three projects. Municipal Mayor Mirsad Mahmutagić congratulated the Government, led by Prime Minister Amra Mehmedić, on the policy of even development of the entire canton and the course it has taken.
“These are very important projects for the municipality of Maglaj, and one of the projects is flood protection, which is very important after the catastrophic floods of 2014,” said Mahmutagić.
Tourism in Visoko
The city of Visoko received funds for the rehabilitation of the road and the rehabilitation of the existing parking lot in the “Ravne” Archaeological Park, which is visited by more than 100,000 tourists every year. These are projects for which the application was submitted by the “Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” Foundation.
“The town of Visoko is a tourist town and lately it has experienced an expansion of tourism and an increase in the number of arrivals. The implementation of the projects will improve the conditions for the reception of domestic and foreign tourists, so that the arrangement of that space represents a significant infrastructure project that adds value to the development of tourism in the city of Visoko”, said Mayor Mirza Ganić.
Lighting in Vares
The Mayor of Vareš, Zdravko Marošević, said that the approved funds of 200,000 KM are very important for this municipality, because projects such as the reconstruction of public lighting significantly improve the living conditions of citizens.
“We want to beautify the city and be the environment we should be, which is Vareš as an economic city with a developed infrastructure. I am sure that our citizens are also happy today, because this government takes care of Vares as well as all other cities and municipalities in ZDK”, said Marošević.
