Cornell Gymnastics Aims for Upset in Competitive Gymnastics East Conference
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell gymnastics team is gearing up for a challenging season, entering the 2024 campaign ranked fifth in the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) preseason poll.
The poll, persistent by the conference’s eight head coaches, places the three-time defending champion University of Pennsylvania Quakers at the top with 62 points and six first-place votes. Yale follows closely behind with 56 points and the remaining two first-place votes. West Chester (39), brown (38), and Cornell (36) round out the top five.
Despite the fifth-place ranking, the Big Red are eager to make a statement.

Cornell kicks off its season on January 12th in a highly anticipated “Rumble and Tumble” event at Bartels Hall. The Big Red will face off against both Yale and Bridgeport, adding an extra layer of excitement to the season opener.
