Costco Canada has issued a nationwide recall of Gino Bambino Gluten Free Pizza Kits due to the potential for mould growth, urging consumers not to consume the product and offering full refunds at warehouse locations.
The recall, announced on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, affects pizza kits sold between December 2025 and April 2026 at Costco warehouses, Costco Business Centres, and through Costco.ca. The affected products can be identified by lot codes 2026 AL 22 and 2026 AL 28, with best-before dates of April 22, 2026 and April 28, 2026.
Consumers are advised to check their freezers for the recalled items and return them to any Costco warehouse for a full refund. The company emphasized that the product should not be consumed, served, used, sold, or distributed under any circumstances.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has also issued a corresponding nationwide recall, classifying it as a Class III recall, which indicates a low risk of adverse health effects from consumption but notes that the product does not comply with relevant legislation.
Molinaro’s Fine Italian Foods, the Ontario-based manufacturer of the pizza kits, initiated the recall and can be contacted at 1-800-268-4959 or customerservice@molinaros.com for further information.
This recall follows other recent food safety actions involving Costco Canada, including a recall of beef and pork jerky over mould concerns on April 13, 2026, and a seafood recall due to listeria risk on April 1, 2026.
