Coupang and Korea Polytech Join Forces: Unlocking the Future of Technical Talent in Korea
Coupang Fulfillment Service Partners with Korea Polytech to Foster Smart Logistics Experts
Coupang Fulfillment Service (CFS) has signed a business agreement with Korea Polytech, an educational corporation, to train and employ technical talent in the automation field. The agreement aims to create excellent jobs and foster smart logistics experts.
The signing ceremony, held at Korea Polytechnic University’s Incheon Campus, was attended by Jeong Jong-cheol, CEO of CFS, and Lee Cheol-soo, chairman of the board of Korea Polytechnic. Both parties agreed to strengthen cooperation to create an urban environment where young people can settle down and have excellent job opportunities.
The partnership between CFS and Korea Polytechnic includes:
- Supporting professors and students’ field training at domestic and overseas Coupang fulfillment service workplaces
- Supporting employment of excellent talent
- Exchanging information and technology in logistics-related fields
- Exchanging and cooperating in human and material resources
Lee Cheol-soo, chairman of the board of Korea Polytechnic, stated, “Our university is responding to smart logistics led by AI by preemptively establishing the Logistics Automation System Department and the Smart Logistics Department.” He added, “We will cooperate with each other through job fairs in the Gyeonggi metropolitan area and Chungcheong area in the future.”
CFS CEO Jeong Jong-cheol said, “Coupang Fulfillment Service is working to revitalize the local economy by continuously creating high-quality jobs.” He added, “We will do our best to help technical talents at Korea Polytechnic University become global talents with Coupang Fulfillment Service.”
CFS has been increasing full-time employment by establishing industry-academic cooperation with various local universities. This year, they signed partnerships with Cheongwoon University, Pyeongtaek University, and Yeongnam Convergence Technology Campus of Korea Polytechnic University, focusing on nurturing technical talent in the automation field.
