Coupang’s Estimated Payment Amount Reaches Record High in August 2024
WiseApp·Retail·Goods, a leading app/retail analysis service, has released the results of its investigation into Coupang’s estimated payment amount and number of app users for August 2024.
According to the survey, Coupang’s estimated payment amount in August 2024 was 4.9054 trillion won, the highest ever recorded. This represents a 27% increase from 3.8481 trillion won in the same month last year.
The number of Coupang app users in August this year also increased by 10% from 28.87 million in August last year to 31.83 million, recording the highest number of users since the launch of the Coupang app.
This survey was conducted by WiseApp·Retail·Goods through a sample survey of Korean smartphone users (Android+iOS) and an estimate of the amount paid for the relevant service by individuals aged 20 or older using credit cards, check cards, account transfers, and mobile micropayments. It was based on the details displayed in consumers’ payment history.
