Whereas Dr Ntwatwa Lule, a resident of Rubaga Aggrey Zone, stands charged with the offense of giving false information and other counts, you are to arrest the said Dr Ntwatwa and produce him before me as soon as possible, the Buganda Road Court Magistrate ordered in an arrest warrant, Monitor reported. Chief Magistrate Winnie Nankya Jatiko issued the warrant after city dentist Lule Ntwatwa failed to appear in court on October 22, 2026, to receive his long-awaited verdict on forgery and false document charges involving land near Wandegeya.
Warrants Issued for Dentist and Sureties After No-Show
Dr Ntwatwa has been on bail during his trial for forgery and uttering false documents regarding a disputed Kibanja at Katanga Valley. Neither the dentist nor his sureties offered any explanation for their absence when the court convened on October 22, 2026, to deliver the judgment. Alongside the dentist, Chief Magistrate Jatiko ordered the immediate arrest of two sureties: his wife, Betty Nakitende, and Isaac Ssali. Court documents state that Nakitende and Ssali face separate accusations of disobeying lawful orders.

High Court Dismisses Bid to Block Verdict
The warrant for Dr Ntwatwa’s arrest came down just one day after the High Court threw out an application filed by the dentist to block the lower court from handing down its verdict. Justice Paul Gadenya dismissed the petition, which had asked the High Court to review the lower court proceedings as a nullity and terminate the prosecution. This petition offers no explanation or new matter to justify renewed intervention for revision. The abuse lies in the collateral attempt to obtain reversal of the earlier disposition, not merely in the existence of a second petition,
Justice Gadenya ruled.
False Claims and Forged Receipts at Wandegeya Police Station
There are 1000+ criminal cases in Wandegeya Police Station in Kawempe Division. Prosecutors allege that Dr Ntwatwa, alongside co-accused Stuart Kateregga and local council leader Wasswa Ntoogo, provided information they knew to be false to Detective Corporal Lubowa. The trio claimed to be the rightful owners of a Land situated opposite the government analytical laboratory near the Mulago Roundabout, intending to waste police time and resources on fraudulent investigations. Investigators further charge that between 2019 and 2020, the suspects conspired to defraud Pastor Daniel Walugembe of the same Kibanja along Haji Kasule Road by falsely claiming they bought it from Bulasio Bwisi in the early 1990s. On September 17, 2020, Dr Ntwatwa allegedly presented forged Busuulu ground rent receipts that he claimed came from the family of Ashe Sendawula Mukasa.
November Judgment Date Set Following Police Order
Chief Magistrate Jatiko has rescheduled the delivery of the judgment for November 9, 2026, allowing police adequate time to locate, arrest, and produce Dr Ntwatwa before the court.
