Riyadh: The Saudi Interior Ministry has imposed strict restrictions to prevent the spread of Kovid through family gatherings. The ministry has decided to impose a fine of up to 10,000 riyals if Kovid does not meet the standards in family events.

The Saudi Interior Ministry has warned against family gatherings in homes, rest houses and farm houses with more people than allowed. But this does not apply if you belong to the same family and live in the same house.

A decision has been taken to impose a fine of up to 5,000 riyals on those who attend such family gatherings in violation of Kovid standards. However, those who invite people to such events will be fined 10,000 riyals, the home ministry said.

Those who repeat such violations will be fined twice, officials said. Those who continue to commit violations will be fined up to one lakh riyals, the ministry said.
