CPU-Z, the leading software for CPU detection, goes beyond its reputation of collecting processor information such as name, number, codename, process, and cache details. The latest update of CPU-Z, version 2.08, introduces enhanced support for AMD’s upcoming “Storm Peak” platform. In doing so, it further confirms the existence of five models within AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 series processors. These models boast a varying number of cores ranging from 16 to an impressive 96, all built on the advanced Zen 4 architecture. Additionally, the update brings initial compatibility for AMD’s EPYC server processors codenamed “Bergamo.” Furthermore, it extends its support to include more Intel 14th generation Core processors, expanding its coverage to encompass mid-to-low models like Core i5 and Core i3.
