Police Raid‌ Against​ Smuggling Crime ⁣in ‌Mannheim and Karlsruhe

A large-scale police operation is underway in Mannheim and near Karlsruhe ⁤and Worms, targeting smuggling offences.

Searches and Arrests

The police have launched a raid against smuggling crime, searching ⁢24 properties, including companies and apartments. Four arrest warrants have been ⁤executed,​ and over 400 people are involved in⁣ the operation.

Allegations of Commercial Smuggling

The⁢ police suspect commercial smuggling⁤ of foreigners, as‍ well as employing foreigners without a residence permit and documentation offences. The investigation is ongoing, with multiple agencies involved.

In ⁢addition to⁣ the Federal Police at Frankfurt am Main Airport, the​ public prosecutor’s office in Mannheim and the ⁣main customs office in Karlsruhe are participating in the investigation.
