Oh I do not know!
Let’s try what we want to do!

In February 2018, three friends who graduated together from the Costume Design Department and have different tastes but admire the same sensibility created this space. First, we focused on creating a studio space for the three of us, and as we searched for additional living space, we found the space we wanted.

The birth of Tre Punto Zero

I love traveling so much that I am so addicted to travel that I even took trips while attending school. The reason for the creation of this space started from the word travel. The idea that it would be nice to be able to travel even if you don’t have enough money or time grew, and Three Point Zero was born with a commitment to creating a small travel destination in Seoul. This is not only our workspace, but we also rent space.

The most important concept of Three Point Zero is “Rough”. We created our own style using raw materials such as broken cracks, cracked floors and paint marks. The large frame is rough, but in the middle we used cute and cute props and furniture to add our touch. Cute and rough. Doesn’t seem like a good solution, does it? However, if you look at the space of the Three Zero Points, your thoughts will change. (haha..)

(ground floor)

This is a house of approximately 24 pyeong which allows the use of the entire second floor. The structure of the house is truly unique. There is a separate entrance on the first floor, so there are steep stairs as soon as you open the door. Should I go up the stairs and then down into the hallway(?)? Starting from the corridor, there is a dining room on the left, and ahead, beyond the central door, there is a kitchen and a bedroom. Go back to the corridor and on the right you will find a bathroom. Let us now begin with a detailed explanation of the space.

This is our workspace and the entrance to our hideout. When you open the door, you see a steep staircase, and the first thing that welcomes you is the outside light that illuminates our studio on a dark night. The outdoor lights, which are a combination of gold and wood that match the beige color, are a great help to come here!

Shall we go up the stairs? On the white wall going up the stairs, I added some text explaining the location to make it a little fun.

This is what you see immediately when you go up the stairs. When you open the central door, the kitchen and bedroom are located.

Here’s what it looked like before decorating. It looked like a typical Korean kitchen, with tightly fitted upper and lower cabinets and a stainless steel top. I didn’t want the kitchen to look like a stereotypical kitchen, so I decided to create an open kitchen that looked beautiful.

To create an open kitchen, the upper and lower cabinet doors were first removed. We only removed the door, but it already appears to be open.

A nice quirk hidden in the roughness

This is the completed kitchen. This is what you see when you open the front door. The sink top was made entirely of wood and all the hinged doors of the kitchen cabinets were removed to use an open style. Areas that might look messy have been blocked with fabric scraps.

Our overall interior concept is the rough and cute details that come out of it. I gave a rough look to the large structure and large furniture and added the details in between. You may not know it at first glance, but if you spend a day touching the house, you will find many cute details in every corner.

In the empty spaces between the upper and lower cabinets we placed our objects and kitchen utensils.

We added a small shelf above the sink to better organize kitchen utensils.

In one corner of the kitchen there is a renovated refrigerator. I painted an old existing refrigerator with chalkboard paint to add a vintage feel. It’s one of the items that I’m personally very proud of because it turned out so beautifully. The sight of things scribbled in unadorned chalk can’t be that beautiful.

Cooking utensils are hung and stored on the far left of the sink. Since it is an open kitchen, I made it more visible instead of hiding it.

The temporary wall that divided the space was created with a single frame and finished with an intermediate mesh. Rather than create a single blocking wall, I wanted to make the space feel connected.

Decorate with nearby furniture from the street

The house itself was old and worn, so I needed furniture that suited the atmosphere. The ones I bought from Ikea were reasonably priced, but they looked too new and tidy. So the first way we chose furniture was to go around the house and collect abandoned furniture. There are a lot of things I took from home, including chairs, nightstands and even small items!

We made the bedding ourselves by purchasing the fabric from Dongdaemun. (We used our specialty in costume design) On the empty wall of the bed, we installed lights that clearly resemble light bulbs to create a feeling of harmony with the overall atmosphere.

The window curtains were also removed directly from Dongdaemun, and the hangers were made from shovel handles. (Self-sufficient haha) I made it with chiffon material because I wanted to give it the look of natural sunlight.

On the other side of the bed is a hanger made from the handle of a mop.

The ropes and hooks used in the exhibitions were used to hold the hanger. I brought some unique fabrics from Dongdaemun and used them instead of mops.

I’m using a piece of wire I picked up in the neighborhood as a table. It is one of the interesting furniture that allows you to create unique items by changing your way of thinking.

Exciting renovation opening!

NEW!! Guests who stayed here said the mattresses were uncomfortable and narrow, so we renovated the bedroom.
