Crowell & Moring, a US law firm, has moved its London headquarters to 199 Bishopsgate. This relocation places them among other City firms on the edge of Shoreditch, marking a significant expansion for the company.
As establishing a London presence in 1991,Crowell & moring has expanded into a 14,000-square-foot office space. The firm’s London headcount has quadrupled since 2019, now comprising over 60 lawyers and staff.
Recent additions to Crowell & Moring’s team include partners Emma Wright and Rafi Azim-khan, both joining the privacy and cybersecurity group.
The new location at 199 bishopsgate places Crowell & Moring in the same building as Dorsey & Whitney and on the same street as Baker McKenzie, Freshfields, and Latham & Watkins.
The newly renovated space at 199 Bishopsgate boasts a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating and an EPC B rating, highlighting its efficient energy usage. This move aligns with the trend of law firms competing for prime office spaces that reflect their ESG commitments.
The London office relocation follows Crowell & Moring’s New York City office move to Hudson Yards in 2024.
