Daegu FC recruits national team defender Hong Chul

Daegu FC announced on the 3rd that they had signed Ulsan Hyundai defender Hong Chul (31).

Hong Chul is a veteran defender who joined Seongnam FC (then Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma) in 2010 and recorded 14 points and 42 assists in 306 K League matches through Suwon, Sangju (military service), and Ulsan. He also played 38 matches for the Korean men’s national team from 2011 to now.

Daegu believes that the signing of Hong Chul, who has a sharp and accurate left footed kick, will be a great help in strengthening the flanks of the K League 1 and AFC Champions League teams in the upcoming new season. In addition, Hong-Chul’s rich experience in the national team is expected to contribute to Daegu’s strength.
