Today, Wednesday 3/20/2024, will witness the holding of some friendly and official matches around the world, as the Egyptian Olympic team will meet its Emirati counterpart, as well as the Saudi and Jordanian teams, in the West Asian Friendly Championship, which will be held until March 26.
The Olympic team delegation headed to the city of Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, to begin preparations for its first match in the tournament, held today, Wednesday, March 20, with its Emirati counterpart, with the winner meeting the winner of the Iraq-Australia match in the semi-finals.
Eight teams participate in the West Asian Championship: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, UAE, South Korea, Thailand, and Australia.

Matches in leagues around the world are currently halted due to the international agenda of the teams during the month of March. The current month’s suspension period, until March 26, witnesses the holding of two matches for each team, according to the agenda of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
Egypt’s first national football team hosts the teams of Croatia, New Zealand and Tunisia in the New Administrative Capital Cup tournament, which will be held in Cairo during the period from 18 to 26 March.
The Egyptian national team, in its first official appearance under the leadership of Hossam Hassan, will face New Zealand next Friday evening in the New Administrative Capital Cup tournament, and if a win is achieved, it will face the winner from Tunisia and Croatia on March 26.
