Dave Shapiro, a co-founder of Sound Talent Group, died in a plane crash in San Diego’s Tierrasanta neighborhood early Thursday.Shapiro, 42, was among those killed when the Cessna 550 went down, according to the Associated Press.
Daniel Williams, the founding drummer of the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada, is also believed to have died in the crash. Assistant Fire Chief Dan Eddy said about 10 homes sustained damage.
Sound Talent Group released a statement expressing their devastation. “We are devastated by the loss of our co-founder,colleagues and friends,” the statement read. “Our hearts go out to their families and to everyone impacted by today’s tragedy.”
