David Droga to Step Down as accenture Song CEO

David Droga, founder of Droga5 and the chief executive officer ⁤of accenture Song, will resign from his CEO role in⁣ September. accenture announced that ‍Droga will transition to a strategic⁤ position ⁣as vice chair across all of Accenture at the close of the company’s current fiscal year.

Ndidi Oteh,currently the accenture Song Americas lead,is slated to take ⁢over as CEO,effective Sept. 1. Oteh, who joined Accenture in 2011, will also become a member of the global management committee.

In addition, Nick Law, the creative chairperson at Accenture Song, will become the new creative strategy and experience lead and also join the GMC.

Droga sold his agency, Droga5, to accenture interactive in 2019 for $475 million. The agency, established in New York in ⁣2006, gained ⁣recognition throughout the 2010s for its award-winning‍ campaigns for prominent brands⁤ like The New York Times, Under Armour,⁤ Puma, and Microsoft.

Following the acquisition,Droga was appointed⁤ CEO of Accenture song in 2021. In 2022, Accenture Interactive was rebranded as Accenture Song under ⁣his direction, consolidating more than 40 acquisitions and groups under a single banner. Accenture Song’s revenue grew from $12.5 billion to $19 billion during his four-year tenure,for the fiscal year ending Aug. 31, 2024.

Droga ⁢added, “I honestly could not be more grateful for my career and ⁢the opportunities I’ve had… After 30-plus years of leaping, I am ready to catch my breath. And being vice chair will allow me to do that,but also to contribute in ⁣new ways.”

Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, said that Droga has developed the next generation of leaders who will build an even better Song. She added, “As Accenture’s vice chair, his legacy and‍ impact will continue for our people, our work, and our purpose.”
