This distressing incident has also led to significant damage to 11 homes in the area. Astonishingly, eyewitnesses have confirmed that there were no signs of any fighting or movement from opposition forces during the attack.
The Myanmar junta has refrained from providing any official comment regarding these reports. It is important to note that the Myanmar army has previously been responsible for carrying out airstrikes in the Sagaing region, particularly in Basiji village. Such attacks have been known to occur during events held by the National Government or the shadow government (NUG).
