Deadly Traffic Accident in Sudan Claims 10 Lives

A devastating traffic accident occurred in the Arquit area of the Nile State, north of Khartoum, resulting in the loss of 10 lives and injuring 11 others.

According to the Sudanese police press office, the injured were rushed to Al-Jikaika Hospital for medical treatment, where their condition was reported to be stable.

The accident involved a collision between a goods tanker traveling from Omdurman and a passenger transport vehicle carrying 19 people from Al-Jikaika. The violent impact resulted in the instantaneous death of 10 passengers and the driver of the passenger vehicle.

The Al-Mattama Local Traffic Police promptly responded to the accident site and took necessary measures to ensure the injured received immediate medical attention.

The incident highlights the risks faced by drivers on Sudan’s roads and emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic safety measures to prevent such tragic accidents.
