Deadly Midnight Ambush: Uncovering the Tragic Story of the San Bernardino Man Gunned Down in His Own Home

A man was injured by a gunshot while he was sleeping in his home in the community of San Bernardo. Detectives of the Police Investigation (PDI) have started a case to explain the circumstances under which the incident occurred.

The incident happened after 02:00 in the morning in the piece Eloísa Díaz Correa, after unknown individuals arrived in a car and fired a series of shots for no apparent reason.

The man woke up to the sound of gunshots, but he thought it was fireworks, so he got up from his bed and went to his daughter’s room to check that she didn’t have any problems.

It was when he spoke to the young woman that he realized he was bleeding on his shoulder, the moment when the victim confirmed that he had been wounded by a gunshot while he was sleeping.

As a result of this situation, the man’s relatives took him to El Pino Hospital, where he was kept in hospital out of a life-threatening condition.

According to the first reports, in the place at least five shots were fired, two of them hit the man inside his home, while the other three hit another home.

The PDI is responsible for the investigations, according to instructions from the Public Administration. Carabineros initially arrived to investigate the shooting, but the PDI took over the case.
