A tragic incident occurred on the 16th in Brooklyn, where an 11-year-old boy lost his life while subway surfing on a G train. According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), the boy fell from the roof of the train onto the tracks between the 4th Avenue and 9th Street stations in Park Slope, Brooklyn, around 10:15 a.m.

The boy is believed to have fallen unconscious onto the tracks after hitting a steel beam in the structure as the train headed to Ninth Street Station.
