Death Cab for Cutie Signs with ANTI- Records

Indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie has signed a new record deal with ANTI- Records, ending a 20-year partnership with Atlantic Records. The band,led by Ben Gibbard,released six albums with Atlantic,including Plans (2005) and Narrow Stairs (2008),both of which achieved platinum status.

Death Cab for Cutie’s relationship with atlantic Records spanned two decades,beginning in 2005. During this time, the band released six studio albums under the label. Plans, released in 2005, was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on October 27, 2005 [RIAA Certifications]. Narrow Stairs, released in 2008, also reached Platinum certification on November 21, 2008 [RIAA certifications].
Transition too ANTI- Records
The move to ANTI- Records marks a new chapter for the band, known for its introspective lyrics and indie rock sound. ANTI- Records is an independent record label distributed by Epitaph.The band expressed excitement about joining the label’s roster.
