Death Cab⁣ for⁣ Cutie Signs with ANTI- ‌Records

Indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie has signed ⁤a new⁢ record deal⁣ with ANTI-⁤ Records, ending a 20-year partnership with Atlantic Records. The‍ band,led by Ben Gibbard,released six albums with Atlantic,including Plans (2005) and Narrow‍ Stairs ⁤(2008),both of which achieved platinum status.

Death Cab for Cutie’s relationship with atlantic Records spanned⁤ two⁤ decades,beginning in 2005. During this⁣ time, the band ⁤released six studio ​albums under the label. Plans, released in 2005, ⁤was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on ​October 27, 2005 [RIAA Certifications].⁤ Narrow Stairs, ‍released⁤ in 2008, also reached Platinum certification on November 21,‍ 2008‌ [RIAA certifications].

Transition ‍too ANTI-⁤ Records

The move⁢ to ⁤ANTI- Records marks a ‍new ⁣chapter for the band, known for its introspective lyrics and indie rock sound. ANTI- Records is an independent record label distributed ⁢by ⁢Epitaph.The‌ band expressed excitement about joining the label’s roster.
