DeepL has launched DeepL Voice-to-Voice, a real-time spoken translation product suite designed to break down language barriers in live communication. The announcement was made on April 16, 2026, in Cologne, Germany, marking the company’s expansion beyond its established text translation tools into speech-to-speech technology.
The new product suite includes Voice for Meetings, which provides real-time translation in platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, allowing participants to speak in their native language while others hear the translation in theirs. An early access programme for this feature is set to begin in June 2026, with registration now open.
Voice for Conversations, available for mobile and web use, is now generally available and supports in-person and remote conversations. It enables a multi-platform experience, particularly useful in environments where installing applications is not practical or permitted.
DeepL Voice-to-Voice also supports group conversations in settings like training sessions or workshops, where participants can join via a QR code. The technology is designed to learn and adapt to custom vocabulary, including industry-specific terms, company names, and personal names.
