In addition, more than 200,000 people signed a petition asking Russian railways to fire the female operator for her behavior which amounted to animal cruelty. Whether the animal is owned or not, it should be done.

There was a heartbreaking event for animal lovers in Kirov on January 11th. The owner’s cat, Twix, escaped from its cage and wandered around inside the train. As a result, passengers who saw it reported it to a conductor on the train who later found Twix and threw the cat off the train amid freezing temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius.

Later, the owner could not find Twix so he reported it to the authorities and learned that Twix had been thrown from the train. Hundreds of volunteers then began searching for Twix along a path near where officers threw Twix from the train. Until Twix’s remains were found lying dead in a pile of snow last Saturday. Local media reported that Twix had animal bites and bite marks from the cold weather.

Pictures emerged earlier apparently showing the ginger-and-white cat being unceremoniously dumped in the snow in Kirov, east of Moscow, on 11 January. The train conductor is said to have mistaken the male cat for a stray. This happened after the feline escaped from its travel crate, and was seen by passengers walking through a vehicle.
