According to the Office of Naturalisation, only one bill concerning Danish citizenship via naturalization will be tabled during the 2025-2026 parliamentary session. The bill is expected in January 2026 and, if passed, will take effect April 1, 2026. A parliamentary session runs from October to June in non-election years.
The change suggests the January bill will replace the usual April vote, resulting in votes in January and october of 2026.
