Despite being crucial in the game, Sanju is going to get the job of eight

The first match of the India-West Indies series was held at the Oval. India enters the second match with a narrow win against the West Indies and an advantage in the series.

After the victory against the West Indies, India got the reputation of being the team that has won the most bilateral matches in a row, but the result of the match is not so happy for the Indian team.

When the top line with the openers and one down was burned, the middle order that had held much hope collapsed like a house of cards.

While Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju did not even show their name, it was Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel who rescued India from a huge embarrassment.

If the middle order had woken up too, India could have comfortably scored 350+ runs on the oval pitch. The weakness of the middle order is sure to make the management sit up and think.

India’s effort can strengthen the middle order. It is certain that the team that played the first ODI will be disbanded for that.

In that case, Sanju’s position is most likely to be in the balance. With Ishan Kishan also in the squad, India is preparing to bring Ishan in place of the wicket-keeper.

If Ishan is not brought in as the opener, India can also go third. Playing one-down for Mumbai Indians, No. 3 is not a liability for Ishan.

If Shreyas Iyer plays as the fourth and Suryakumar Yadav as the fifth, Sanju is sure to bowl clean from the eleven.

In the last match, Sanju managed to score only 12 runs from 18 balls. Finally, Sanju came back to destroy all the hopes of the fans when he was caught in front of the wicket by Romario Shepherd.

Despite being described as the most impactful player in the team, Sanju failed to live up to that name in the last match. And when he saw Saip, he once again got the bad name of the one who forgets Kawat.

It remains to be seen whether Sanju will be with the team when the second match is scheduled to take place at the Oval on the 24th.
