Diablo 4 Patch 1.1.1 Introduces Major Balance Adjustment and Increased Monster Density

With the release of patch 1.1.1 for ‘Diablo 4’, players can now experience the first significant balance adjustment since the start of season 1. This update brings about notable changes to monster density, particularly in the Nightmare Dungeon and Hell Wave areas, offering a more intense gameplay experience. Players will notice a narrower gap between groups of monsters, allowing for a faster and more streamlined hunting experience with reduced skill cooldown times.

The density increase also applies to elite packs, with existing long-term monsters such as wasps and ghosts becoming more prevalent. This, in turn, leads to an increase in experience rewards, making the Nightmare Dungeon an essential destination for efficient leveling. The intensity of Hell’s waves has undergone major enhancements as well, surpassing the density of the Nightmare Dungeon. Players will encounter a higher number of monster groups in each area, allowing them to collect mutant embers simply by hunting monster objects in the field.

Elemental Sorcerers have received a durability boost, improving their survival rate in high-level Nightmare Dungeons. Upgraded damage reduction settings, including the ‘Spell Destruction’ Heart, ‘Eye Guard’ spell, and Conqueror’s aim, contribute to the overall durability enhancement. While it is still challenging to navigate through enemies like a druid, the glass cannon effect of the Elemental Sorcerer class has been slightly reduced.

In terms of gameplay changes, the ability to use ‘Heart Run’ via the season quest has been removed. Furthermore, the ‘Devoured Var’shan’ encountered in Season Quest Chapter 8 ‘The Cold Truth’ will now drop the ‘Heart of Bar’shan’ only once. However, players can still reset the dungeon and repeatedly hunt evil seed monsters inside.

To improve the storage functionality, an additional warehouse tab has been added, granting players a total of five warehouse tabs. Moreover, players can now view the dungeon period rewards that were previously not visible on the map after using the nightmare dungeon seal. Another notable fix is the resolution of a bug that was causing the seasonal blessing ‘bargain jar’ to increase magical costs.

While this patch addresses some concerns raised by players, such as increased monster density and job balance adjustments, there are still areas that require improvement. Some players have expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of final content, limited build variety, and an unfriendly user interface. Nonetheless, the development team has announced that patch 1.1.2 will be released soon, focusing on bug fixes rather than significant balance changes.

Overall, the latest patch for ‘Diablo 4’ introduces substantial adjustments that have been well-received by the player community. As the development team continues to address user feedback, players can expect further updates and enhancements to the game in the future.

[게임플] With the application of patch 1.1.1 of ‘Diablo 4’, the first large-scale balance adjustment has been made since the release of season 1. Typically, the density of monsters has increased, and Elemental Sorcerers and Barbarians have greatly improved .

Monster density in Nightmare Dungeon and Hell Wave has increased to the point where you can feel it. Although there are slight differences in each dungeon, we can feel that the gap between the groups of monsters has narrowed. Using a group of monsters as a stepping stone, it was possible to hunt faster and with a sense of speed while reducing the cooldown time of the skill.

This density patch seems to have increased the number of monsters and elite packs together. The population of existing long-term monsters such as wasps and ghosts has increased noticeably, and the appearance of elite packs has also increased. With the increase in monsters, the experience reward has also increased. Nightmare Dungeon has now become an essential course for fast leveling.

The intensity of Hell’s waves also increased significantly. The increase in density was more noticeable than Dungeon Nightmare. In particular, the number of monster groups that appeared in one area increased significantly. I was able to collect mutant embers just by hunting monster objects while walking around the field without entering the event area. However, due to the different topography of the field, the frequency of monster appearances did not change.

Elementalist durability has been increased to increase the survival rate of high level nightmare dungeons. As damage reduction settings like ‘Spell Destruction’ Heart, ‘Eye Guard’ spell, and Conqueror’s aim were all upgraded, the glass of ‘Glass Cannon’ became a bit smaller. Sure, it’s a little easier than before, but it’s still hard to squeeze between enemies like a druid.

Now, you can no longer use ‘Heart Run’ using the season quest. The ‘Devoured Var’shan’, which appears in Season Quest Chapter 8 ‘The Cold Truth’, now drops ‘Heart of Bar’shan’ only once. Dungeon reset still works. So, you can repeatedly hunt evil seed monsters inside the dungeon.

Added one more warehouse tab. An additional warehouse tab costs 400,000 gold and you now have 5 warehouse tabs available. After using the nightmare dungeon seal, you can check the dungeon period reward that was not immediately visible on the map. Additionally, a bug where the seasonal blessing ‘bargain jar’ was increasing the magical cost has been fixed.

This patch actively reflected the opinions of users and intensively adjusted the increase in monster density and job balance, drawing a good response from many users. However, insufficient final content, build variety, and unfriendly UI still give users a poor game experience and are subject to criticism.

‘Diablo 4’ will release 1.1.2 patch notes soon. The patch is due to be applied next week and is mostly known for fixing bugs. No special balance changes are expected in the next patch.
