Sean “Diddy” Combs is again seeking a mistrial, this time accusing prosecutors of presenting false testimony in his ongoing case.The motion, filed Saturday, centers on testimony related to an alleged incident involving Bryana Bongolan, a freind of Cassie, the singer and fashion designer.
According to Diddy’s legal team, Cassie testified that she witnessed Diddy holding Bongolan over the edge of a 17-story balcony. however, the defense argues that text messages between Cassie and Kristina Khorram, a member of Diddy’s staff, suggest Cassie did not actually see the alleged event. In the messages, Cassie stated she “just found out some crazy s***.”
The defense also questioned the validity of photos presented as evidence of Bongolan’s injuries.Bongolan claimed diddy dangled her over the balcony, then pulled her back and threw her into furniture, causing bruises and neck injuries. While prosecutors stated the photos were taken Sept. 26, 2016, Diddy’s team presented evidence that he was on the East Coast that day.
