Komatsu to Showcase Latest Products and Solutions at MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2024
September 19, 2024
Komatsu will exhibit at MINExpo INTERNATIONAL 2024, one of the world’s largest mining machinery trade fairs, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, from September 24th to 26th. Under the theme of “Together for a Sustainable Future,” Komatsu will showcase its latest products and solutions, including automation, remote control, and electrification, which help customers reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve zero emissions, and improve on-site safety and productivity.
Automation and Remote Control Solutions
Komatsu is strengthening its efforts to automate and remotely control mining machinery to improve the safety and productivity of its customers’ worksites. At this year’s MINExpo, Komatsu will exhibit the D475A-8 large ICT remote-controlled bulldozer, the ZT44 remote-controlled blasthole drill for mining, and the first exhibit of an Autonomous Light Vehicle (ALV) concept vehicle for mining sites, developed in collaboration with Toyota Motor Corporation.
A demonstration will be conducted, showcasing a large ICT remote bulldozer and blast hole drill being remotely operated from a remote control seat set up inside the venue, more than 650 kilometers away at the Arizona Proving Grounds. A live broadcast of an ALV’s autonomous driving at the Arizona Proving Grounds will also be broadcast.
Underground and Surface Mining Machinery
Komatsu will be exhibiting the following underground hard rock and surface mining machinery:
