Digital Camera – The trend of young people looking for nostalgic and dreamy beauty

Modern digital cameras with high resolution, good low-light capabilities, autofocus and anti-shake are typical examples. However, today’s youth are inclined to use point & shoot cameras and digital cameras since the early 2000s.

Following the low-waisted pants or glasses of more than 20 years ago, the digital camera line may be returning to its golden age. Especially since famous stars like Bella Hadid, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham or Emily Ratajkowski posted photos taken with this type of camera.

At the end of 2022, digital cameras have attracted millions of views on TikTok, and the pocket camera fever shows no signs of cooling down.

Not only abroad, the current trend of using Digital Camera also affects Gen Z in Vietnam.

Unlike smartphones, older digital cameras often have less resolution, capture less detail, and take in less light. That’s why the resulting photos are often clear and full of nostalgia and dreams.

Every time a moment is captured with a digital camera, the photographer has to wait for the photo to be exported before being able to post it on social networks. That is the new “fun” of young people – something that smartphones cannot do.

The muted tones of digital cameras bring back the vintage, spontaneity and beauty of more than a decade ago. This trend has been coming back very strongly, we live in a modern and homogeneous world, so people often tend to look for “new” things from the past, from fashion, architecture, culture to cameras like today.
