‘Pavi Caretaker’, directed by Vineeth Kumar, is a continuation of many Dileep films that made Malayalees laugh non-stop. Dileep does a great performance with comedy, romance and emotions in this movie. This is Dileep’s one and a half movie. Whenever Dileep is full of good jokes and emotional scenes, this film also reaches the record where the audience accepted him with open arms. Dileep proves that his popular hero image has not faded with the film Ew.
Pavi is a prominent apartment caretaker in Kochi city. He is someone who takes things seriously. But what he does is often stupid. A girl comes as an invisible presence in Pavi’s life. The subsequent developments are the soul of Caregiver Pavi.
The first half of the film is full of laughs. Dileep makes the audience laugh in several scenes. Even when Pavi turns into a romantic hero in the second half, there is no dearth of laughs. Dileep’s lively performance is the highlight of the film. There are many scenes in the film where vintage Dileep can be seen back on screen.
Like the usual Dileep comedy films, he doesn’t have a partner to make him laugh out loud all the time. But he overcomes that shortcoming with his individual performance. Vineeth Kumar becomes a great presence in directing as well as in acting. He has made the film with the right amount of humor, romance and action. Rajesh Raghavan’s script and dialogues are lovely. Touching moments and heartbreaking characters are another feature of the film. Sanu Tahir’s cinematography also keeps the film connected with the audience.
Another special feature of Pavi Care Taker is five new heroines joining Dileep. The performances of Johnny Antony, Radhika Sarathkumar, Dharmajan Bolgatti and others are also praised. This movie also introduces the big laugh that came to the movies which became a rom-com movie and became a big hit in the near future. ‘Pavi Care Taker’, which can be described as Dileep’s one man show, may not disappoint the audience.
