PRESS PREVIEW OF ‘FAMILY HONOR: RETURNS’ HELD FOR HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FILM
Seoul, September 19 – The movie ‘Family Honor: Returns’ held a press preview at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall, attracting attention from media and fans alike. Director Jeong Tae-won was present during the event and patiently answered questions from reporters.
Speaking about the atmosphere on the set of ‘Family’s Glory 6’, Director Jeong Tae-won shared his reminiscence, stating, “While filming, I couldn’t help but think about the time when I was directing ‘Family’s Passion’.” He further revealed the challenges faced during the production process, reflecting on how almost 70% of the film was shot in Japan twelve years ago, under grueling conditions. He mentioned, “Back then, we didn’t have a 52-hour work week, so I had to pull all-nighters to complete the scenes. Although it was difficult this time as well, I couldn’t help but laugh on set.”
During the press preview of the new movie ‘Family Glory: Returns’ (‘Family Glory 6’), which took place at CGV I’Park Mall in Yongsan, Ichon-dong, Seoul, Director Jeong Tae-won, who is also the CEO of the production company, discussed the systematic approach taken on set. Despite facing the scorching heat, he expressed his delight with the positive atmosphere amongst the cast and crew.
‘Family Glory: Returns’, directed by Jeong Tae-won and Jeong Yong-ki, produced by Taewon Entertainment and distributed by NEW, tells the story of the Jang family’s hilarious attempts to arrange a high-profile marriage for their youngest daughter, Jin-kyung, played by Yoo-ra, with popular celebrity writer Dae-seo, portrayed by Yoon Hyun-min. The film is a comedy that showcases the family’s relentless efforts and comical struggles in achieving a picture-perfect marriage.
This latest installment in the ‘Family’s Glory’ series returns to the big screen after an 11-year hiatus since ‘Family’s Glory 5 – Return of the Family’, directed by Jeong Yong-gi.
When asked about the motivation behind producing the sixth film, Director Jeong explained his belief that the film industry needs a variety of releases to revive the domestic theater atmosphere. He stated, “There hasn’t been a film of this genre for a long time, and I wanted to bring a refreshing smile to the audience who may feel tired of daily life.”
‘Family Glory 6’ is scheduled for theatrical release on September 21st.

‘Family Glory: Returns’ (directed by Jeong Tae-won and Jeong Yong-ki, produced by Taewon Entertainment, distributed NEW) follows the Jang family, who hatch all kinds of plots to get the youngest daughter of the family, Jin-kyung (Yoo). -ra), to marry a popular celebrity writer, Dae-seo (played by Yoon Hyun-min) Comedy depicting a life-or-death struggle for a perfect marriage.
It came back on the big screen 11 years after the previous film, ‘Family’s Glory 5 – Return of the Family’ (directed by Jeong Yong-gi).
Director Jeong then said about the reason for producing the 6th film, “(The film industry) has been difficult in recent years. I believe that the atmosphere of domestic theaters will be revived only when variety of films are being released. He added,” Since there hasn’t been a film of this genre for a long time, it will help the audience who are tired of the life “I came back to give you a refreshing smile,” he explained.
‘Family Glory 6’ will be released in theaters on September 21st.
