Director Lingusamy sentenced to six months imprisonment

Chennai: Director Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra have been sentenced to 6 months in jail. The punishment was handed down in a case filed by production company PVP Capital. The reason was that he did not get the money he borrowed back. The Saidapeta Court passed the sentence.

Lingusamy had borrowed money from PVP Capital to make a film starring Karthi and Samantha. The incident was a few years ago. The movie didn’t happen. But he did not return the money borrowed. The company filed the complaint in the situation where the check issued by Lingusamy was returned.

Lingusamy plans to file an appeal in the Madras High Court after the verdict in the case was negative.

Lingusamy’s last release was ‘The Warrior’. The film starring Ram Pothineni and Kriti Shetty was a flop.
