Djimon Hounsou and Wife Ri’za Marie Welcome Baby No. 3
Actor Djimon Hounsou and his wife,Ri’za Marie,welcomed their third child together on January 21,2026,People magazine confirmed. The couple,who married in 2023,have not yet publicly revealed the baby’s name or gender.
Hounsou, 62, is also a father to son Kenzo Lee Hounsou, 17, with kimora Lee Simmons, and daughter Hounsou, 11, with Marie.
Marie, 38, announced her pregnancy in November 2025, sharing the news on Instagram with a family photo and the caption, “we are beyond blessed to share that our family is growing!”
The couple’s relationship began in 2016, and they were engaged by 2020. Their wedding took place on January 7, 2023, at a private ceremony in St. Barts, as reported by People.
Hounsou has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his roles in “In America” (2002) and “Blood Diamond” (2006). He most recently appeared in “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” (2023).
