Match disrupted in Craiova
The Futsal Eb qualifier between Romania and Hungary in Craiova was temporarily halted in the sixth minute after Hungary took a 1-0 lead. The interruption occurred due to clashes between some Romanian fans and riot police, with fans running onto the pitch during play. A firecracker was then detonated, prompting the referees to suspend the match and escort both teams to the locker room.
Play resumed after a delay of over thirty minutes. Hungary quickly equalized in the ninth minute, but Romania regained the lead with a penalty, ending the first half with a 2-1 score.
Advantage Shifts After First Leg
The first leg of this qualifying tie was won by Hungary 3-2 in Debrecen last Thursday, giving them a slight advantage going into the second match. The winner of this two-legged contest will qualify for the European Championship.
