A number of Moroccan websites published the news of the arrest of Moroccan artist Dounia Batma in Casablanca to implement a one-year prison sentence in the case in which she was accused, known in the media as the “Hamza Moon Baby” case.

Sources reported that security arrested the Moroccan singer, Dounia Batma, in the city of Casablanca, and that the arrest of “Batma” came in implementation of the one-year prison sentence issued against her. The Court of Appeal had convicted “Batma” of one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 dirhams.

Kuwaiti media personality Mai Al-Eidan also published the news of Donia Batma’s arrest through her official account on “Instagram” and commented, saying: “And they plan and God plots, and God is the best of planners,” in view of the dispute between them during the last period.

Mai Al-Aidan attacked Moroccan singer Dounia Batma after she went live on her official Instagram account, during which she asked for a royal pardon after her appeal request against her one-year imprisonment was rejected.

Mai re-published the broadcast clip through her various accounts on social media and commented: “Praise be to God, oh God, I prayed and God answered me. I prayed to God to show me about you one day, and he saw me and I was one of the people whom the Hamza Moon Baby account insulted with dignity and honor, and I did not analyze you.” For the Day of Judgment.”

It is noteworthy that the Moroccan Court of Cassation issued a ruling rejecting the cassation submitted by the artist, Dounia Batma, in the case in which she was accused, known in the media as the “Hamza Moon Baby” case.

The court ruled to uphold the sentence issued against her in 2020, which was one year in prison, after her relationship with the Snapchat accounts was proven.

The Hamza Moon Baby case goes back to a Snapchat account that targeted celebrities by broadcasting a group of secrets related to their private lives. Investigations into the case revealed that the Moroccan artist, her sister, and others were behind this account.
