Dua Lipa surprised a sold-out crowd at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 20, sharing the stage with Jamiroquai. The collaboration marked the first-ever live performance of Jamiroquai’s 1996 hit, “Virtual insanity,” with Lipa. She also brought back “Hotter Than Hell,” a fan favorite not played since 2019, to the delight of the 75,000 attendees.
Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay, sporting purple pants, a frilly white shirt, and a signature purple top hat, expressed his enthusiasm. “What a privilege and an honour to be onstage with you. Are we gonna do this?” he said before launching into “Virtual Insanity.” Kay sang the initial verse, with lipa joining for the chorus and taking the second verse as Kay added vocal flourishes. He exited after an extended instrumental, thanking the crowd.
Earlier in the show, Lipa told the audience that “Hotter Than Hell” was “the song that got me signed, and it’s the song that started everything. With weather like this,ther’s only one song I could do.”
Throughout the Wembley Stadium concert, Lipa showcased a series of striking outfits.
