Dubai Ruler visits International Horse Championship

Dubai ∙ United Arab Emirates Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the 20th Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship. Sheikha Hassa bint Hamdan Al Maktoum and Hilal Al Marri, Director General of the Dubai Economic and Tourism Department, accompanied Sheikh Mohammed.

Sheikh Mohammed assessed various aspects of the championship. He said people’s growing love and interest in competition has helped position the emirate as an equestrian center and destination for horse owners from all over the world. The championship will be held at the Dubai World Trade Center until the 19th of this month.

151 horses compete in 14 categories in the world class beauty pageant for Arabian horses. The prize money is 40 lakh dollars. Many horses that have won medals in equestrian beauty pageants in UAE and Qatar and the World Equestrian Championship held annually in Paris, France have come this time.
