Duke Quarterback Darian Mensah Enters Transfer Portal
duke Blue Devils starting quarterback Darian Mensah announced Friday he is entering the NCAA transfer portal, seeking new opportunities after completing his eligibility with the program. Mensah submitted his paperwork before the midnight deadline for Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and football Championship Subdivision (FCS) players to enter the portal.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, but after talking with my family, I believe it’s in my best interest to enter the transfer portal,” Mensah posted on X.
Background
Mensah, who played for Duke from 2022-2025, completed 62.1% of his passes for 5,873 yards, 43 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions in 36 career games. He led the Blue Devils to a 7-6 record in the 2024 season, including a Military Bowl appearance. He was named the 2024 Military Bowl MVP after throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns in Duke’s 30-13 victory over Louisville on December 26,2024. (ESPN)
