Dunelm Expands Into Ireland with Homefocus Group Acquisition
Dunelm, a British home furnishings company, is entering the Irish market by acquiring Homefocus Group Ireland. Home Focus, trading at Hickeys, operates 13 stores across Ireland, including six in Dublin, and employs about 140 people.
The acquisition price is not disclosed. Dunelm sells a wide range of products, including bedding, sofas, chairs, garden furniture, and kitchen essentials. They view this acquisition as a chance to reach more customers in a homewares market worth over £1 billion.
Dunelm plans to introduce a wider range of products in Home Focus stores, similar to their smaller stores in the UK.
