DubaiWindies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced that he will retire from international cricket with the Twenty20 World Cup. Bravo has confirmed his decision to retire following the Windies’ defeat in the match against Sri Lanka.

I think the time has come. I got a good career. He played for the West Indies for 18 years. There were ups and downs. But in hindsight I am satisfied. Has been able to represent the Caribbean people for so long, Bravo says.

Three ICC titles with the Windies

Three ICC titles. Two with my Captain Darren Sami. Confirming the announcement of his retirement, Bravo said:

Bravo played 90 T20s for the Windies. He made his debut in 2006 against New Zealand in Auckland. Bravo, who has scored 1245 runs from T20s, has a batting average of 22.23. Strikerate 115.38.

Cayman in Death Overs

Bravo took 78 wickets with his medium fast bowling. Bravo’s variations on death overs were highly acclaimed. Bravo is a member of the team that lifted the T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016. But Bravo could not find the rhythm in the Twenty20 World Cup in the UAE. He scored just 16 runs and took two wickets in four matches.
