What Happened?
A disturbing video circulating online shows a group of teenagers on electric bikes violently assaulting a 56-year-old man near the Hermosa Beach Pier on Friday, November 22, 2025. The incident,which occurred around 8:00 PM near 11th Court and Beach Drive,prompted widespread outrage within the Hermosa Beach community. The video depicts the assault continuing until one of the attackers shouts, “He’s dead, he’s dead.”
The Inquiry and Arrests
The Hermosa Beach Police Department (HBPD) announced on Wednesday, November 27, 2025, that they have identified five juveniles involved in the attack. The ages of the suspects range from 13 to 15 years old.two of the teens, identified as the primary aggressors, have been arrested and booked on suspicion of felony assault at the hermosa Beach city jail.
The arrested juveniles will be transferred to Juvenile Hall, and their cases will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office’s juvenile division for consideration of charges.
