The BBC soap opera EastEnders is bringing back Oscar Branning, son of Max Branning, after almost 10 years off-screen. Producers have chosen to recast the role.
Charlee Hall originally played Oscar Branning from 2007 until 2017. Jake Wood played his father, Max, and Jo Joyner his mother, Tanya.
Pierre Moullier, known for roles in Fate: The Winx saga,The Jumper Factory, and My England, will now portray a teenage Oscar Branning in this EastEnders recast. He will arrive in Albert Square after an eight-year absence for the character.
According to The Sun, a source said the casting of Moullier is exceptional, noting his resemblance to a younger Jake Wood. The source added that Moullier will bring a fresh dynamic to the character, perhaps stirring up drama in Albert Square.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Jake Wood, 52, would also return to EastEnders for the first time as December 2020. His character was not killed off, leaving the door open for a potential return.
Wood told Good Morning Britain last year that he had no immediate plans to return to EastEnders, but added, “Never say never.”
Simultaneously occurring, Lacey Turner, who played Stacey slater, Max Branning’s daughter-in-law and former love interest, is reportedly taking an indefinite break from the show. Her character is currently grieving the death of her ex-husband.
Following Turner’s exit, producers are reportedly looking to Wood to inject energy into upcoming storylines.
Max Branning departed Walford in 2020, seeking a fresh start in New Zealand after failing to win over Linda Carter. He is known for his tumultuous relationships and marriages to Tanya Branning, Kirsty Branning, and Rainie Cross.
