Suikoden Acoustic Live ~Studies of Ancient Instruments~ Concert Announced
MUSIC Engine, a performance group founded by violin and viola player Kota Kawai, has announced a concert for the RPG game “Genso Suikoden” series of Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. The concert, titled “Suikoden Acoustic Live ~Studies of Ancient Instruments~,” will be held on December 14, 2024, at Spiral Hall in Tokyo.
The songs to be played will be selected from “Suikoden I&II HD Remaster,” which has a release date of March 6, 2025. As the title suggests, “Investigation of Old Musical Instruments,” this performance will feature the participation of the “Katerina Early Music Ensemble,” which restores and performs various period instruments used in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
Yumiko Takahashi, who was in charge of the chorus for Suikoden II’s “Opening BGM” and “Reminiscences,” will be singing on some of the songs. With the warm sounds of period instruments and Yumiko Takahashi’s powerful and relaxed singing voice, the audience will be transported into a world of fantasy through sound.
