The community is mourning the passing of Elaine, a beloved former staff member of Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, after a brave battle with a short illness. Surrounded by her loving family, Elaine passed away peacefully while receiving exceptional care at the hospital she dedicated herself to.
Elaine was more than a colleague; she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her sudden departure has left a void that will be deeply felt by her husband Derek, her cherished daughters Leah, Katie, and Emily, her parents John and Imelda, her brother Jason, sister Melissa, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Life Lived with Laughter and Love
Those who knew Elaine will remember her infectious laughter and unwavering positivity. Even in the face of adversity, she maintained her characteristic wit, famously quipping, “Seriously, are you having a laugh!” This spirit embodies the way she approached life – with resilience, humor, and an abundance of love.elaine’s dedication extended beyond her family and friends. as a valued member of the team at Midland regional Hospital Tullamore, she was known for her compassion, professionalism, and commitment to patient care. Her colleagues remember her as a supportive and encouraging presence, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Funeral Arrangements & Celebrating elaine’s Life
The family has announced the following arrangements for those wishing to pay their respects:
Thursday,August 14th: Elaine will repose at her home in Spollanstown,(R35 PK80) from 2 pm until 8 pm,with a rosary recited at 8 pm.
Friday,August 15th: Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 pm in Saint Colman’s Church,Mucklagh (R35 V045). Following the mass, Elaine will be laid to rest in the adjoining graveyard.
