Miriam Travieso, social leader of the community of Santa Ana, Girardot municipality, Aragua state, denounced that the workers of the Girardot mayor’s office abandoned and left unfinished the remodeling work in the central garden on Bermúdez Avenue. She explained that for several months the group of workers abandoned the work without giving any type of explanation to the leaders of the sector.
“This problem threatens people with disabilities and the elderly because they cannot cross the dangerous avenue for fear of falling in the middle of gardening. Many of us have to jump to get to the other side of the street, others have fallen. and thank God they were not hit by vehicles traveling in both directions of Bermúdez Avenue,” he denounced.
Then he added that “we have requested an audience with Mayor Rafael Morales, but he did not want to receive us, this is an area with a lot of traffic flow but there are also businesses on both sides, that is why the elderly and disabled have to cross gardening even risking his life” he denounced.
