The official campaign for the 22nd general election, which lasted for 13 days, is coming to an end.

The ruling and opposition parties each appealed to voters by coming up with different judgment theories, and public sentiment fluctuated repeatedly due to various rumors, making the number of heated battles more intense than ever.

From the beginning of the election, the People Power Party raised the idea of judging the large opposition party with 180 seats.

They broke through the election head-on by forming the so-called Lee and Jo Judgment Special Committee to criticize Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung and Fatherland Innovation Party leader Cho Kuk.

On the other hand, the legislative conflict resulting from the policy to expand the number of medical school students and the president’s controversial remarks that heightened the controversy over the cost burden held the ruling party back.

Until the end, the People Power Party appealed to voters to prevent the large opposition parties from running away and to give them power in running state affairs.

– “Criminals are ruining the country, but are you going to stand by and watch until the end? One vote is not enough. One vote is really not enough. Everyone, please use those 12 hours to protect the country.”

The Democratic Party, which began its election campaign amidst a nomination crisis and internal strife, set out to turn the tide with its theory of judging the regime.

We continued to target voters’ low evaluation of the current government, including President Yoon’s approval rating for his administration, which is in the 30% range.

However, the controversy over candidate Yang Moon-seok’s illegal loans and candidate Kim Jun-hyuk’s remarks about providing sexual favors to the U.S. military reminded us of the problem of the Democratic Party’s nomination wave.

Until the last minute of the election, the Democratic Party sought to mobilize support by minimizing candidate risks and emphasizing the framework of a prosecutorial dictatorial regime.

– “For the lives of our people and the future of our country, sovereigns must now step forward and stop this regime, which is following the wrong path.”

The Fatherland Reform Party, which advocated a stronger judgment of the government than the Democratic Party, the New Future Party, which advocated judgment of the two major parties, and the New Reform Party, which called for a new wind in the conservative camp, also entered the general election, risking the fate of each party.

The political landscape over the next four years is expected to change significantly according to the results of the 13-day competition for 300 seats in the National Assembly.
