Electric Debut: Le Seraphim Brings K-Pop Frenzy to The Stephen Colbert Show
LE SSERAFIM Makes Surprise Appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
On September 13th, K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM made a surprise appearance on the YouTube series ‘Late Show Me Music’ of CBS’ ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ and performed ‘1-800-hot-n-fu’ from their 4th mini album.
In the video, LE SSERAFIM showed off a hip vibe while performing rhythmic rap. The five members did not lose their composure while performing dynamic group dances, and showed off excellent stage manners such as freely moving around the studio and showing off impromptu gestures.
On the same day, LE SSERAFIM ranked 100th on the UK Official Singles Chart with their 4th mini album’s title song, “CRAZY.” This achievement proves their global music power by charting on this chart, which is considered one of the world’s two major pop charts along with Billboard, for two consecutive weeks.
LE SSERAFIM also continued its good performance on Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform. ’Crazy’ ranked 68th on the latest ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ (aggregation period: September 6-12) and was ranked in 18 countries/regions including Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, and Canada.

LE SSERAFIM’s performance in the United States is particularly notable. “Crazy” ranked 145th on the latest “Weekly Top Songs US,” charting for two consecutive weeks. The song has also gained steady popularity, making it onto the “Daily Top Songs US” every day since its release. With their recently released new album, LE SSERAFIM is leading the K-pop girl group chart by hitting a “career high” in the US, the center of the global music market.
LE SSERAFIM has shown a distinct presence in the United States by winning the ‘2024 MTV Video Music Awards’, one of the four major American pop music award ceremonies, and by dyeing the Empire State Building, a landmark in New York, with the team’s official colors. In addition, with the title song of the same name as their 4th mini-album ‘Crazy’, they ranked on the latest (September 14th) Billboard’s main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ (7th) and the main song chart ‘Hot 100’ (76th). In particular, they took the highest ranking among K-pop girl groups this year on the ‘Hot 100’.
