Elon musk is set to leave his position as a “special government employee” within the Trump administration. A White House official confirmed that Musk’s off-boarding began Wednesday night.
Musk acknowledged his departure on X, thanking President Donald Trump and stating that his department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team will continue its work. He emphasized that the DOGE mission, focused on government efficiency, will strengthen and become a standard practice.
