Dubai-based Emaar Development has invested AED2.9 billion ($790 million) to acquire land in the Ras Al Khor area from Amlak Property Investment. The Dubai real estate firm, whose shares are publicly traded on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), also faces transaction-related expenses.
The strategic land acquisition will support the company’s growth objectives, Emaar stated in its disclosure. The purchase allows Emaar to broaden its land holdings and initiate new real estate ventures, aligning with its core business strategy.
Emaar already has a important presence in the Ras Al Khor area with the Dubai Creek Harbour development, known for its views of the Burj Khalifa and proximity to the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.
