On the afternoon of November 30 (Wednesday), Minister of Employment and Labor Lee Jeong-sik visited the Ansan factory in Daewon Industries Co, Ltd (Dongwon-gu, Ansan-si). This visit was made immediately after the government published the “Serious Disaster Reduction Roadmap” at 10 o’clock on the same day.

On this day’s site visit, the importance of implementing a ‘risk assessment’ on the site was confirmed, which is a key way of establishing a “self-discipline prevention system”. The factory of Ansan Daewon Industrial Co., Ltd. have carried out a thorough ‘risk assessment’, and it is known that no one has been injured in an accident during the work after 2021.

Minister Lee Jung-sik said, “Today, the government issued the “Road Map for Reducing Serious Accidents” to create a “safe and healthy workplace, a happy Korea.” It is a paradigm shift to a “system” and he emphasized that ‘risk assessment’ is a key method of the “significant disaster reduction road map”.
